Our homes

Gimli ACL began the building of Husigim “home” on June 5, 1984.  The home opened on December 3, 1984. We currently have six adults living in this house.

Bjorn in Icelandic means bear.  With the help of Manitoba Marathons and the use of the clients’ own moneys, the Bjorns Hamili home in Aspen Park opened in 1991. We currently have four gentlemen living in this house.

In August 2000, Solskin house (which means Sunshine) was opened.  This home is unique as it was custom built to be wheelchair accessible.  This home accommodates four residents, two of them being wheelchair users.

July 2012, Heima opened a house in Loni Beach, called Karla Heim. We have one resident currently in this home.
